William L. Stuth (Bill) has worked in the on-site waste industry since 1955,establishing Stuth Company, Inc. in 1962. He has been designing, installing and troubleshooting on-site systems for 46 years, specializing in commercial high strength waste for the past 17 years. In 1985 Bill saw a serious need for the monitoring of these systems so he established Aqua Test. Inc., a wastewater management firm with a DOE accredited wastewater-testing laboratory. He developed and patented the Nibbler® wastewater treatment system used to treat high-strength commercial greywater, and also developed and patented the Nibbler jr.", and a Flo Filter". In 1998 Bill sold Stuth Company, Inc. to his son.

Bill works with engineering firms across the nation designing repairs and because of the success of these repairs, companies such as Safeway, Kroger, Fred Meyer, QFC, Ingle"s, Albertson"s Winn-Dixie, Food Lion, Wal-Mart, McDonald"s, Dairy Queen, Burger King, Hardee"s, Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, numerous other restaurants, BP/Amoco, Marathon, Union 76, Speedway, Shell, Arco, Texaco, Chevron, Sheetz and Jackpot gas stations/convenience stores, ask for assistance when designing on-site systems for new construction. Government agencies, National Forest Services, numerous state and county agencies, prison systems, school districts, numerous independent restaurants and golf courses have become regular clients. These systems range in size from 1000 GPD to more than 50,000 GPD. Bill has traveled the United States extensively consulting and troubleshooting.

Bill has worked on many large-scale step systems including Cedar Manor in Marysville, projects in Elma, Lacy, and Yelm. He evaluated the systems to determine the true costs of operation and maintenance of the systems, developed, and patented a screened vault to lower maintenance costs and improve performance of the step systems.

Bill is currently working on a national advisory panel on how to evaluate large scale and residential systems.

Bill was a founding member and president for five years of the Washington On-Site Sewage Association. He is an active board member and was instrumental in establishing the Northwest On-Site Wastewater Training Center at the WSU Extension site in Puyallup WA. Bill served on the original ad-hoc committee for the Seattle-King County Technical Review Committee, was the senior member and until his resignation last year had served almost continually since its inception in 1964. He also serves on the University of Washington Wastewater Treatment Short course Planning committee. He has served on the Washington State Technical Review Committee and is currently acting as an advisor to the committee. Bill serves on the Engineering Financial Advisory Board at the University of California at Chico. He is currently serving his second term as a member of the Board of Directors for the National-On-site Wastewater Recycling Association.

Participated in multilevel meetings to resolve conflicts between multiple consultants. Prepared bids for the OM&M of the BMP pilot study program. Prepared the scheduling for the BMP pilot study monitoring station installations. Compiled data and composed reports for the dry weather outfall monitoring for numerous cities. Field investigations and water quality analysis of the aforementioned stormwater outfall monitoring programs.

Stuth Company Responsibilities included the development of patent products, development of chemical parameters to be analyzed, performing chemical analysis, reviewed experimental data and recommend design and product adjustments based upon the data collected. Composed all reports as well as correspondence regarding the products and their designs. Interpreted process design; interpreted metabolic and chemical processes relevant to actual products, experiments, and designs. Conducted mathematical modeling of experiments. Consulting to challenging sites with respect to topography and regulatory constraints. Site evaluations of failed wastewater systems including: Troubleshooting mechanical and chemical components; Examination of site evaluations, MSDS sheets, and all relevant documents to determine solution to system failure; Proposed and design solution; Conducted and coordinated site evaluations; Coordinated and headed all meetings with regulatory personnel regarding these systems. Designed and inspected all systems described above.

D.R. Strong Consulting Engineers Responsibilities included designing and trouble shooting on-site wastewater systems. Monitored wastewater treatment systems, assisted designers with on-site wastewater concepts and system installation procedures. Collected field data and developed the data into finished design work. Revised existing designs upon request. Communication responsibilities included prospecting for new clientele, maintaining existing client relations and resolving client disputes. Originated correspondence, reports and memorandums.

  Corey Krick - Laboratory Manager

The Laboratory is supervised by Mr. Kory Krick. Aqua Test is pleased to have Mr. Krick as the Director of our Laboratory Division. Kory holds degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Central Washington University and has Graduate Work experience in Molecular Toxicology from Dartmouth College Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Mr. Krick is a member of the American Chemical Society, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemists and certified through the Washington State Department of Ecology.

He supervises the analysis of all Chemical and Biological tests. He develops and implements new protocols to keep up with the cutting edge of scientific technology. Aqua Test is constantly updating its technological procedures to keep up to date with the implementation of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry, as well as highly sophisticated computer data management. The quality and accuracy of the data generated by our laboratory is constantly being checked, validated and fine-tuned. Our Laboratory is credentialed through the Washington State Department of Ecology. Throughout the tenure of Mr. Krick, Aqua Test has not failed a single Performance Evaluation test through the Department of Ecology – ever – Aqua Test has a perfect track record in it's Performance Evaluations.

Mr. Krick has been in the scientific field for over 10 years. While Kory was an undergraduate, he worked for a Scientist studying Acid Rain pollution in the Pacific Northwest. In this capacity, he helped develop strategies and scientific experiments within the laboratory to assess the seasonal chemical trends of environmental pollutants. This project, was funded by grants from the Washington State Department of Ecology. The studies from this project helped establish air pollution regulations in the state of Washington.

Kory was awarded a scholarship to attend Dartmouth College Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1992. While there, he studied the effects of genetically engineered immune molecules on human cells. The work also included studies on the toxicological effects of TCDD (Chemical in Agent Orange).

After formal education, Kory went to work for the United States Department of Agriculture. He was responsible for inspecting food plants and the procurement of food products for the school lunch program. This involved inspecting food commodities and the quality control of the facilities.

Following government regulatory work, Kory relocated to the Seattle area and worked as a Metals Chemist. This involved the use of EPA protocols for environmental samples to assess trace metals content. He ran analysis of the Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectra for Mercury and trained new employees.

Currently, Aqua Test employs Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians who are committed to the highest quality standards, and service to their customers. If Aqua Test gives you a data number you can be sure that it will be a conscientiously derived and thoroughly accurate one.
